Chapelle Saint-Pierre

Little church with a renovated presbytery and forecourt used for puppet shows and workshops, organised by "La Gabelle", a troop that puts on regular shows, suitable for people of all ages, during the school holidays.

Saint Peter's Chapel was built in the first half of the 18th century. A few years ago it was transformed into an exhibition space. Concerts are also given there several times a year.

About

Erected in 1723 by the sailors of La Ferté and with the agreement of the Pope, in order to create their own Parish opposite the Upper Town, this chapel is decorated with a bell tower which is a miniature replica of the old bell tower of the church of Saint-Martin which disappeared in 1786 during a storm. The traditional materials were used there with an alternation of flint, bricks and cut limestone. Nowadays, it can be visited during exhibitions or concerts.
