Les Maugériades : Ensemble de trombones

From different nationalities : Venezuelan, French, etc., all students of the IESM Aix en Provence higher music school, the members of this ensemble belong to the IESM trombone class. For several years now, it has been offering a trombone ensemble program, ranging from baroque and classical music to film music and jazz. This ensemble, enthusiastically organized by Jacques Mauger, goes beyond the boundaries of teacher-student boundaries to help popularize the trombone. The aim is to highlight the richness and warmth of the trombone?s sound through a highly eclectic and flexible program, with Jacques Mauger both soloist and conductor giving us a taste of the finesse of this ensemble where the decibels are not proportional to the number of instruments! From Berlioz to Bruckner and Barber, this trombone ensemble program is sure to delight more than just fans of the instrument?s warm sound.
