La Harengade

Grilled or marinated herring, rederie and musical performances will enliven the Quai de la Pointe on Sunday
This popular event, organized by the Amicale Saint-Jacques, gives visitors the chance to taste herring. They can also pick up a few bargains at the braderie-réderie, featuring over 100 exhibitors.
La Harengade kicks off on Saturday November 18 at 12 noon with a fishing competition, the "Challenge Harengade", organized and supervised by the Ponthieu anglers (PLP).
Samarobriva Pipes and Drums and the Nuemen Showband will set the Abbeville harbor abuzz with the sounds of 40 Dutch musicians and flag-waving girls. After wandering around during the afternoon, the groups will give a joint concert, "a Tatoo", at 4pm near the big top.
