Victims of the German bombardment of May 1940 and the destruction of war, many of Picardie Maritime's towns and villages emerged from the Second World War deeply scarred. However, in the immediate aftermath of these tragic events, architects began to imagine the rebirth of Picardie Maritime's towns and villages.
