La Guilde des Mercenaires is an early music ensemble made up of a group of artists led by cornetist Adrien Mabire. Originally a group of men with common interests, the ensemble took the name "Guilde" to define these musicians from different horizons, pooling their knowledge to play the music of the 16th and 17th centuries. Committed to making the "high instruments" sound their best, La Guilde des Mercenaires is made up of singers with timbred voices and valiant instrumentalists. The ensemble's aim is to perform early music in a virtuosic manner, maintaining the legacy of musicians from the Seicento period, while taking into account the specificities of our time. His recordings have received international critical acclaim. The latest, released in 2023, features Muffat's Grande Missa in Labore Requies. Based in Brittany, and calling on artists from all over Europe, La Guilde is made up of musicians trained in the finest schools. Thanks to the personalities of its members, the ensemble is recognized as a dynamic force on the early music scene.
